Fire Hoses and Private Hydrants

On-site Testing

Our service vehicles are equipped with fire hose hydro-static testing equipment so we can test hoses on site.  The Fire Code requires that hoses are tested regularly (every 3 years) for leaks and functionality.

Fire Hydrants are tested annually where we test it's functionality and flow rate.  The Fire Code requires this testing annually.

Annual Inspections

Fire hoses are required to be inspected monthly, annually, and tested at regular intervals.  Fire hydrants are required to be tested annually. Our technicians are trained in inspection and testing of fire hoses and hydrants to ensure they are operational in your building.  Our inspections include:

  • A detailed visual inspection of the fire hose, nozzle, rack and cabinet are performed annually.
  • Hoses are tagged and a detailed report is created.
  • Fire hydrants are opened, inspected and flowed.  Routine maintenance is also performed.
  • Detailed reports of the test results are provided.
  • Deficiencies are communicated directly to you.
  • A certificate is given upon the completion of a successful inspection.
